Jeffrey Dahmer

July 22nd 1991 31 year old Tracy Edwards came to the realization that he would die at the hands of this monster who held him captive and willed himself the strength to escape. With handcuffs still hanging from one wrist he flagged down a patrol car and led police back to "Dahmers Dungeon".

Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested and as of Aug. 22nd 1991 Jeffrey Dahmer had confessed to 17 murders and was being charged with 15 counts of murder. At the beginning of his trial on Jan. 30th 1992, he filed a 'guilty but insane' plea. As part of a flimsy defense Jeffrey Dahmers attorney argued that the inhumane nature of Jeffrey Dahmers crimes; "skulls in lockers, necrophilia, cannibalism, making zombies, lobotomies, and defleshing" was sure proof of his insanity, Two weeks later on Feb. 15 1992, jurors found Jeffrey Dahmer sane and responsible for the murders. The court imposed 15 consecutive life sentences leaving Jeffrey Dahmer to serve a total of 936 years. Despite many blatant death threats Jeffrey Dahmer always refused repeated offers for protective custody. During his final statement Dahmer said "he wished to die".

Not long after entering the Columbia Correctional Institute, Jeffrey Dahmer actually began to meet with a chaplain, and attending weekly bible studies, and even showing a desire to be baptized. So on May 10th 1994 Roy Ratcliff baptized Jeffrey Dahmer. Many found it absurd and pointless to baptize a Serial Killer, and there was a public backlash from both outside as well as in the prison. His poupularity among his fellow inmates was nil, and shortly after his baptism Jeffrey Dahmer was attacked when another inmate in his bible studies class tried to slash Jeffrey Dahmers throat while in the prison chapel. Escaping with a few scratches Jeffrey Dahmer refused to press charges. Officals were convinced he was not safe among the prisoner poupulation and in order to ensure Jeffrey Dahmers safety placed him in isolation. 5 months later on Nov. 28th 1994 during a routine cleaning duty in a prison bathroom near the prison gym, fellow inmate; 25 y/o Christopher Scarver, also on the clean-up crew, smashed in Jeffrey Dahmers skull with a metal bar found in the prison gym.

Jeffrey Dahmer was killed instantly.

37 y/o Jesse Anderson who was also wounded in the attack, died two days later. Racial motives were suspected and still rumored to be true, because many of Jeffrey Dahmers victims were like Christopher Scarver himself, african american. Scarver also claimed and believed himself to be working for god as the son of god and was only acting out his "Fathers commands."
