In June 1990 he picked up where he had left off before
prison. With an eager lust for blood and death. Edward
Smith became victim #7. Then followed Raymond Smith (no
relation to Edward) in July 1990. During the month of
Sept. 1990 both Ernest Miller and David Thomas lost their
lives at the hands of Jeffrey Dahmer. For reasons unknown,
Jeffrey Dahmer was then stagnant for a few months, resuming
his killing in Feb. 1991 with Curtis Straughter, Errol
Lidsey in April, and Anthony Huges on May.
Around this time Jeffrey Dahmer yearned for something
different, a new way to obtain control of the lives and
bodies of his victims while the lived. Passive and obedient
live in sex toys, merciless to his every whim and helpless
to his torture. In his attempts to do so he would drill
holes in their skulls after they were unconscious, then
he would drip acid or caustic liquid through the hole
via a feeding tube, needless to say his attempts to destroy
the conscious will of his victims failed. His ultimate
goal was never fulfilled due to the fact that all of
his victims obviously died in the process.
May 16, 1991; Konerak Sinthemphone went missing. A
14-year-old Immigrant, unable to speak any English and
coincentidently, a brother of the child involved the
molestation case when Jeffrey Dahmer was a child. Jeffrey
Dahmers celebrity status is due largely to this particular
murder. Playing on basic emotions and fears and the raw
human will of survival. Many can find it quite easy to
empathize with the one that "got away" so to
speak. ALMOST...
In the early morning hours of May 17th 1991, police
received a report of a disoriented, bloody, naked young
man running down the street. The cops caught up with
Sinthemphone but found it impossible to communicate with
the 14 y/o immigrant, with no clothes, and 2 visible
fresh head wounds (Dahmers attempt to drill a hole in
Sinthemphone's skull, made moments before his escape).
Unsure how to handle the odd situation police were grateful
when offered an explanation by a clothed and rational
Jeffrey Dahmer. Passing himself off as Sinthemphone's
boyfriend, he explained that the two had a little 'lovers
spat', quite sorry to have bothered the officers and
if permitted, Jeffrey Dahmer would return quickly and
quietly with Konerak Sinthemphone to his home. His request
was met with little reluctance from police, who were
more than happy to have an explanation and resolution
to the situation. On the morning of May 17th 1991 Konerak
Sinthemphone was released by the Milwaukee police to
Jeffrey Dahmer and ultimately to his death.
Unbelievably, it was later reported the cops were heard
over their radios cracking "fag" jokes and
laughing about the freaks, happy not to have to had any
further involvement with them. Not long after Jeffrey
Dahmers arrest, the major blunder overlooked due to these
clearly homophobic and ignorant cops got out to the public.
There was such a public uproar that both cops were suspended
from duty only to be reinstated later after they threatened
to file civil lawsuits.
Jeffrey Dahmer continued on killing with an erie confidence,
seemingly unaffected by the close encounter with police.
Jeffrey DahmerS 15th victim was Matt Turner killed
on June 30th 1991. The more time went by, the stronger
the need to kill became. The greater the number of victims
got the cockier Jeffrey Dahmer got. Which is where he
began to get careless. His elevated confidence and unstoppable "above
the law" attitude would eventually be his demise.
July 7th Jeffrey Dahmer took the life of Jeremiah Weinberger,
Oliver Lacy on July 15th and 4 days later on July 19th
Jeffrey Dahmer killed Joseph Brandehoft.
